New Garden
This was a new, awkwardly shaped garden with the house set in the centre of the plot. The main garden was north facing and additionally had dry shade created by large ash trees on the boundary.

Steps lead from an octagonal terrace to an upper gravelled terrace. A brick edged gravel and flagstone path lead beneath a large wooden pergola to the lawn and gardens behind the house. A new 3ft stone wall formed a boundary with the neighbouring garden. To increase the privacy of this boundary in an interesting and novel way a hedge of pleached hornbeam was planted.
